VetWel HeartWel packaging

What Is It Used For?

HeartWel® is formulated to complement veterinary care by supporting normal physiologic function of the heart and circulatory system.

Heart Function

Selected botanical ingredients form part of a complementary strategy to support normal cardiac function and cardiovascular performance.

Circulatory Support

Cardiovascular wellness extends beyond the heart itself. HeartWel® also supports normal circulatory function and peripheral circulation.

Antioxidant Defense

Botanical and natural ingredients complement the formulation's support for normal cellular antioxidant defenses and management of oxidative load.

Fluid Balance

Selected botanicals are included as part of the formula's support for normal fluid balance and natural elimination processes.

When May It Be Considered?

  • When additional support for normal heart function is appropriate
  • As complementary support within a veterinarian-directed cardiovascular care plan
  • For senior cats and dogs needing heart-health support
  • When circulatory support is desired
  • During care periods where antioxidant support is appropriate
  • Alongside veterinarian-directed cardiac management

Ingredients & Formulation Rationale

HeartWel® is not based on a single cardiac ingredient. Its formulation combines complementary pathways for normal heart function, circulation, antioxidant defenses, stress response, and fluid balance.

Heart & Circulation Pathway

Crataegus oxyacantha and Leonurus cardiaca form part of the core botanical group selected to support heart and circulatory function.

Calmness & Adaptation

Melissa officinalis and Valeriana officinalis complement support for relaxation and adaptation during stressful periods.

Fluid Balance & Elimination

Achillea millefolium, Polygonum aviculare, and Gnaphalium dioicum complement the formulation's support for normal fluid balance and natural elimination.

Antioxidant Support

Propolis, bee extract, and selected botanicals contribute to the formula's support for normal cellular antioxidant defenses.

Formulation approach: HeartWel® is not intended to treat heart disease. Its core strategy is to support normal heart function → circulation → antioxidant defenses → fluid balance as interconnected areas of cardiovascular wellness.

Veterinary Approach

Coughing, exercise intolerance, breathing difficulty, fainting, abdominal distension, or marked lethargy can be associated with heart disease as well as other conditions. Veterinary examination and appropriate cardiologic evaluation take priority when these signs are present.

HeartWel® does not replace diagnosis or cardiac treatment. It should be considered only as complementary support within a veterinarian-directed clinical care plan.

Veterinary Monitoring Considerations

  • Resting respiratory rate
  • Heart rate and rhythm
  • Exercise tolerance
  • Cough or respiratory changes
  • Body weight and body condition
  • Blood pressure
  • Echocardiography and electrocardiography when indicated
  • Clinical response to prescribed cardiac medications

Use & Safety Note

Animals with heart disease may receive diuretics, ACE inhibitors, pimobendan, antiarrhythmics, or other cardiovascular medications.

For this reason, concurrent use of HeartWel® with prescription medications should be evaluated by a veterinarian.

Clinical monitoring is especially important in patients receiving medications that may affect blood pressure, fluid balance, or cardiac rhythm.
